Paul has spent his entire career working in news radio and joined 1010 WINS in 2004. He has been heard on nearly every major radio station nationally, having worked at the CBS, ABC and Mutual Radio networks throughout his career. He has also anchored television newsbriefs for ABC World News Now.

Paul has covered national politics, presidential campaigns and breaking news. He anchored the first bulletin covering the death of Princess Diana and was on the scene of the TWA flight 800 crash, reporting live from a boat salvaging the wreckage. He shared a Peabody Award with ABC News Radio colleagues for outstanding coverage of the Gulf War. He has won seven New York State Broadcasters’ Association Awards, including “Outstanding Radio Newscast – New York City” and “Best Documentary” for his coverage of the dropout crisis in New York City Schools.

Most of Paul’s career has been spent in the New York City market where, in addition to anchoring, he landed the first of several news director positions at age 28. Paul has also done some public affairs work in Gotham.

When he is off the air, Paul spends his time with his German Shepherd and two ragdoll cats – all rescues. He is an avid environmentalist and history buff and enjoys taking trips to historic sites with his wife Monica.
