Officers of the Hurst Police Department in Texas are lucky to be alive after a home exploded while they were arriving on the scene of an accident.

Dramatic dashcam footage shows officers driving up to a house that was hit by a driver when the explosion suddenly occurred. Immediately following, officers ran into the house to rescue three occupants after they heard screams.

The department released a statement about the incident saying it was likely caused after the SUV slammed into the home, releasing an excess of gas.

Thankfully everyone involved, including the officers on the scene, are all in stable condition. In a post on Facebook, the department thanked the officers who arrived on the scene saying, "Great work by Officer Hiser, Corporal Tooker and the rest of the team who assisted at this incident. We are incredibly thankful that the victims are stable and expected to recover. Our hearts go out to them and their family."

The driver of the SUV, Alejandro Enriquez-Castro, was arrested on the scene for not having a license. Castro was also placed on an immigration hold and was transferred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody.
