NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week we're featuring Pluto, JoJo and Prince:

Pluto (# 84689) A volunteer writes: While the debate rages on about whether Pluto is a planet, there is no debate that our Pluto is one of the goodest boys on the planet! For our walk he dons his finest plaid ducky tie, and walks politely on his leash like the gentleman he is. He shows off some of his commands - sit, come, paw, and nails the very important "pose for photo while giving paw"! While Pluto is a mellow dog, he is playful and enjoys a game of fetch or chase. In his previous home he kept fit by going on jogs with his owner. He has spent time with young children and is reported to be relaxed and tolerant with them. He is also reported to be playful and well mannered with the small dog he shared a home with. Pluto is house trained and ready to show you what a good boy he is. Come find out for yourself at Brooklyn ACC!

Jojo (# 83048)  A volunteer writes: JoJo is an absolutely sublime creamsicle colored kitty. His gorgeous eyes make him a standout. He is very friendly and quite a pleasure to be with. He head butted my hand and then immensely enjoyed an under the chin tickle and a head rub. He enjoyed a few snacks. Overall, I say he is a winner worthy of an A+ rating in the cute cuddler category.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Prince (# 67249) A volunteer writes: Prince loves to eat. So here we have a bunny who really enjoys his food and therefore needs a lot of exercise. Which, luckily, he likes, too. As well as melting into a hand that softly strokes his most handsome head and soft ears. Prince is looking for a new kingdom to reign, and after a few hours with Prince, I am sure you will happily want to be his human servant. Come meet our royalty at the Care Center in Brooklyn!

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located. Please note, animals featured here may already be placed by the time you arrive, but there are hundreds of great cats, dogs, and rabbits looking for loving homes every day! You can view available animals online, and at the Care Centers, ACC Adoption Counselors will help you find the best match.

You can also meet your new best friend at ACC’s Mobile Adoption Center, which travels throughout the city. (Note: dates and locations are subject to change. Information will be updated as quickly as possible.  View an Interactive adoption event at http://nycacc.org/adoptionevents.)
