NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week we're featuring:

Hemi (ID# 87047)  A volunteer writes: Say hello to the most debonair puppy in Manhattan! Hemi's as handsome, happy and affectionate as any family could wish for, and he's newly single and very ready to mingle. Quiet in his den and easy to handle on walks, this petite cutie has an innocent curiosity that charms every person he meets, and he loves dogs just as much, barking to greet them and spinning, smiling, and play-bowing as he chases his bros around the yard or works to impress a girlfriend on a playdate. Hemi enjoys a game of fetch and is always a gentleman when it comes to sharing his toys, and with a little prompting (and a treat) he'll come, sit and stay on command, too. Having earned an excellent behavior evaluation and praise from staff and volunteers alike, everyone's favorite sidekick is now ready to take the world--and Instagram--by storm. Visit our Manhattan Care Center and experience Hemi's precious puppy magic for yourself!

Roti (ID# 85617)  A volunteer writes: If affection is your wish then Roti is your man! He watches what is going on then politely asks for pets. Once you start he will not want you to stop! He loves his ears scratched. Roti is a real hug a bunny. When you pick him up you will get lots of affection back! So, if affection and hugs are your goal then Roti is your man! You can find Roti at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. A hug awaits you!

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Calico (ID# 78961) A volunteer writes: Calico is a sweet loving boy waiting to be your valentine! While shy at times, Calico blossoms after spending a short amount of time with him. A calm loving home would be perfect for him. He's a big fan of tunnels and loves baby carrots! Will you add Calico to your family? Adopt this adorable piggy at Brooklyn ACC!

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located. Please note, animals featured here may already be placed by the time you arrive, but there are hundreds of great cats, dogs, and rabbits looking for loving homes every day! You can view available animals online, and at the Care Centers, ACC Adoption Counselors will help you find the best match.

You can also meet your new best friend at ACC’s Mobile Adoption Center, which travels throughout the city. (Note: dates and locations are subject to change. Information will be updated as quickly as possible.  View an Interactive adoption event at http://nycacc.org/adoptionevents.)
