NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week we're featuring Flash, Marie and Calico:

Flash (# 87967)  A volunteer writes: You've heard of "kiss the cook." How about "kiss the photographer!" It surely was no coincidence that a pup named Flash aced his Valentine's Day photoshoot. But on top of being infinitely photogenic and Instagram ready, this 1 year-old sweetheart also couldn't have been more appreciative, showering his photographer with loads of thankful kisses. Flash was recently surrendered to our care following a change in his family's circumstances, and has been "flashing" those perfect puppy teefs and wagging that perfect tail towards everyone he meets ever since. But Flash hasn't just won over human hearts. Flash previously lived with a turtle as his housemate and also has been having a blast in playgroup, greeting other pups politely and engaging in bouncy play. Valentine's Day may be over but for many the search for love continues! Come end your search in a flash with our Flash today. Flash #87967 is waiting in adoptions at Manhattan ACC.

Marie (# 87782) A volunteer writes: Maria is an adorable shy little girl. She is very receptive to petting and is very gentle. She just needs time and loving and she will come around. If you are gentle and considerate, she would love to meet you, and perhaps, go home with you.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Calico (# 85341) While he may seem initially shy, 1-year-old Calico blossoms into a social butterfly after spending a short amount of time with him. A calm loving home would be perfect for him. He's a big fan of tunnels and loves baby carrots! Will you add Calico to your family? Adopt this adorable piggy at Brooklyn ACC!

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located. Please note, animals featured here may already be placed by the time you arrive, but there are hundreds of great cats, dogs, and rabbits looking for loving homes every day! You can view available animals online, and at the Care Centers, ACC Adoption Counselors will help you find the best match.

You can also meet your new best friend at ACC’s Mobile Adoption Center, which travels throughout the city. (Note: dates and locations are subject to change. Information will be updated as quickly as possible.  View an Interactive adoption event at http://nycacc.org/adoptionevents.)
