New York (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable animals looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring  Zachary, Kane & Peppy Hare (who still needs a home after we featured him last week!!):

Peppy Hare (22547) (UPDATE 4/6 PEPPY HARE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!)  An ACC Volunteer Writes: “Peppy Hare is a medium-sized brown Silver Marten male. This guy should be a male bunny model! He's absolutely perfect-looking, with a handsome face, gorgeous chocolate-y fur, and beautiful silvery highlights on his ears, neck, and feet. But he's not stuck up about his looks at all! Peppy Hare has a great disposition; he's clearly very bright and also well-socialized. He's curious and eager for company, sticking his nose and mouth through the bars of his cage to get your attention... but when you hang out with him, he's not aggressive or even hyper, despite his relative youth. Speaking of youth, Peppy Hare might grow a bit more as he reaches full maturity.”Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.

Zachary (23676) (UPDATE 4/6: ZACHARY WAS PLACED WITH A NEW HOPE PARTNER) Meet Zachary, the catnip-king of ACC. This sweet and loving kitty is looking for a home and family with as much energy as he has. If you’re looking for a playful and interactive cat, look no further! Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Kane (23789) (UPDATE 4/6: KANE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!) Due to landlord issues, Kane has found himself at the Staten Island Care Center. Kane is a big, mushy boy who is filled to the brim with love. He does well with other dogs, and is looking for his new forever home… can it be yours? Available for adoption at Staten Island ACC: 3139 Veterans Road West.

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located. Please note, animals featured here may already be placed by the time you arrive, but there are hundreds of great cats, dogs, and rabbits looking for loving homes every day! You can view available animals online, and at the Care Centers, ACC Adoption Counselors will help you find the best match.
