NEW YORK (1010 WINS) 1010 WINS teams up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Suzzy, Bibly and Ash:

Suzzy (48060) An ACC volunteer writes: "Suzzy is like a magical little cow that you can walk on a leash! She might be bashful at first, but food is the way to her heart AND gets you a front row ticket to the cutest show around: Suzzy's CUEzzy's! She sits, lays down, gives paw, gives double high fives, and rolls over....and with each she'll leave you wondering how charming one gal can possibly be! Once she's warmed up Suzzy loves to romp around with stuffed toys, props her paws on my lap, shakes her entire back end when I talk to her, and even gives kisses. She is an awesome age, has the best smile, and just radiates sweetness. I think she's meant to be someone's forever best friend...please come meet her at Brooklyn ACC!” Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn.

Bilby (50272) An ACC staff member writes: "Bilby (50272) can be a bit of a chatty catty and is as sweet as can be. He is a loving affectionate little boy and leans in for head butts and warm purrs. He does not mind cuddles and kisses and massages. If you want a sweet and calm natured little guy with a lot of love to give, then Bilby is your guy." Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Ash (46528) An ACC staff member writes: "This girl is such a sweetie! She adores affection, and especially likes having the nape of her neck rubbed. If you stop petting her, she'll pop up like a jack-in-the-box and lick her chops to indicate that, as far as she's concerned, the petting is NOT finished. Ash has a gorgeous, super soft black coat with typical Silver Marten accents -- ash-colored in this case -- on her ears, chest, feet, nose, and belly. She'll need a lot of attention in her forever home, and would make a good choice for a committed first-time bunny owner.” Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 E 110th St, Manhattan.

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at [email protected] with the animal’s name and “A#”, or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located. Please note, animals featured here may already be placed by the time you arrive, but there are hundreds of great cats, dogs, and rabbits looking for loving homes every day! You can view available animals online, and at the Care Centers, ACC Adoption Counselors will help you find the best match.

You can also meet your new best friend at ACC’s Mobile Adoption Center, which travels throughout the city. (Note: There are no mobile adoption events this weekend due to the Christmas holiday but check here for upcoming locations: http://nycacc.org/Events.htm)

To adopt an animal, you must have a valid photo ID, be 18 years of age or older, and bring proof of current address. ACC adoptions include vaccinations, spay/neuter, a pre-registered microchip, an identification tag, a collar, and a certificate for a free initial exam at a participating veterinarian.
