New York (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Suki, Leia & Tamora:

Suki (26519) An ACC Volunteer writes “Suki would be the perfect dog for me and I imagine for many adopters looking for a calm while lively four legged best friend, a good listener, a loving companion for slow walks and lazy times reading a book or watching the telly. Yep, Suki is the one ! She is a pretty sight in her sparkling vanilla and chocolate dress, always harboring a big smile and gentle eyes that look with adoration to their caretaker. One really feels the center of attention while being with Suki, an unconditional admirer. Suki is a slow walker and likes to stop from time to time and rest. It is hot outside and she is a little on the heavy side. More exercise and a proper diet are in order. She is fine with her peers , males and females met in playgroups or while on a stroll. Suki so enjoys laying down in the yard, listening to a conversation between volunteers and accepting caresses. "It feels like home" she might say to herself . She is so happy, one of the pack, loved and wanted. Adorable Suki so would love to be yours and brighten your life with her presence. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center.” Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.

Mariella (25911) An ACC Volunteer writes: “Beautiful bundle of sweetness. Mariella is a looker. This terrific brown and rust colored Tabby sports white boots, a white bib and has big soulful golden eyes. When I approached her condo Mariella was comfortably stretched out chilling. I opened the door and offered her some treats. That got her attention. She quickly gobbled them up. Then the little imp climbed up on my shoulder. I held this purring ball of sweetness in my arms and she leaned her head against my chest. There went the strings of my heart as Cupid's arrow struck me! Any time I attempted to put Mariella down she'd climb back up onto my shoulder. When I put her back and closed the condo door she put her paw out and tapped me on the arm three times as if to say "Ahem!Where do you think you're going?" How could I leave? I opened the condo door again and she climbed back up on my shoulder giving me kitty cuddles. The only thing that stopped me from adopting her? My three cats! Want a love bug of your very own? Mariella is waiting for you! Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.
