New York (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This weekend, ACC is featuring it's Go Big and Go Home promotion, with adoption fees waived for all dogs 40lbs and over. Does not include dog licensing fee.

This week, we're featuring Scarlett, Lisbeth & Chinna:

Scarlett (29262) An ACC volunteer writes: "Scarlett came to us with her friend, Sinatra. They are quite different in looks and action. Sinatra is bold and boisterous and Scarlett (although playful) is gentle and affectionate. They might be the perfect pair, the ideal match. Scarlet has been so well cared for. She is gorgeous in her perfect red brown dress, her eyes are clear, her teeth , mother of pearl and she owns such a lovely personality...and smile. She is a great walker, likely house trained , sits on command and even after a few prompts, enters the pool for a little dip. Her favorite thing to do is to hang around her caretakers, fold herself into their arms and just take in the love . Yes, Scarlett is a sweetheart who is sure to give her new owners a lot of joy, love and many years of wonderful companionship. Scarlett is at the Manhattan Care Center, dreaming to make your home an even happier one with her presence. Come and meet her soon at the Manhattan Care Center.” ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.

Lisbeth (29423) This charmer is quickly becoming a volunteer and staff favorite, and if you meet her it will be obvious why. Elegant lady Lisbeth is a real sweetheart. She's friendly and relatively mellow lady, who nevertheless still enjoys running and playing! She's at ease with human company and, as rabbits go, is relatively easy to handle. Another volunteer writes: Hi my name is Lisbeth I'm easy to handle friendly and lots of fun. Come watch me put on a show for you running around my pen in and out of the tunnel. Look at my big binkies I'm doing just for you. When I'm tired from all the Binkies I'll take a rest and you can chill together while you pet my soft fur. Come hang out with me for a while." Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Boulevard, Brooklyn NY 11208.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Chinna (28122) An ACC volunteer writes: "Are you looking for nonstop affection and a loving happy companion? Look no further than Chinna. This sweet boy came right up to the front of the kennel and could not wait to spend time with me. He gently put his paw on my hand as I was opening the door as if to say "Hello, how are you?" He loves to be pet and scratched and has a wonderful little purr-meow to tell you how much he enjoys your attention. This butterscotch honey could not be sweeter. He rubs, hugs, love taps, head butts and cheek swipes. I really could hardly tear myself from this beautiful and affectionate cat. From the moment I opened the door, he was loving and grateful for attention. After I moved on, he beckoned me to come back to him by gently petting me on the head." Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Boulevard, Brooklyn NY 11208.
