New York (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

Plus, for a limited time, adoption fees are being waived for all cats and kittens! Details here:

This week, we're featuring Sahara, Bettina & Lucky Ace:

Sahara (35492) An ACC volunteer writes: “Is it too quiet around the house? Wouldn't you like to have a chatty little striped gal pal to follow you around and talk to you? This beautiful desert queen wants to be your BFF. She came right up to the front of the kennel with lots of meows when I approached. She enjoyed some head and side-of-face scratches and carried on a conversation with me. She is probably best in a home with experienced cat owners as she can get a little overstimulated, but is an absolute sweetheart if you know when to give her some space.” Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd., Brooklyn, NY 11208.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Bettina (29437) An ACC volunteer writes: “Bettina is a medium-sized brown and white Dutch mix -- with stunning baby blue eyes! This gorgeous girl has a typically Dutch cozy and chill personality. She loves affection, and as far as she's concerned, a petting session can go on forever, thank you very much.” Available at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located. Please note, animals featured here may already be placed by the time you arrive, but there are hundreds of great cats, dogs, and rabbits looking for loving homes every day! You can view available animals online, and at the Care Centers, ACC Adoption Counselors will help you find the best match.

Lucky Ace (36102) An ACC volunteer writes: “This sweet little guy is brand-new to the Brooklyn ACC, and looking for his forever home! His gentle spirit is visible even while he's in his kennel--sitting nicely for treats, wagging his tail, and licking my fingers through the door. Eager for affection and attention, Lucky Ace would love a new family who can give him lots of pets and lots of love!” Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd., Brooklyn, NY 11208.

You can also meet your new best friend at ACC’s Mobile Adoption Center, which travels throughout the city. (Note: dates and locations are subject to change. Information will be updated as quickly as possible.  View an Interactive adoption event at http://nycacc.org/adoptionevents.)
