NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Rocky Road, Bubble Gum and Aramis:

Rocky Road (47610) An ACC volunteer writes: "Good day sunshine! We try not to play favorites at the Care Center but sometimes a dog comes along who's so fun, friendly and affectionate that he can't help rising to the top of your must-walk list and for me that dog is Rocky Road, a big, handsome puppy with a big, beautiful heart to match. Rocky loves to play but he's never hyperactive and watching him bounce around the yard after a toy then proudly jog back with it in his mouth is heart-warming on even the coldest day. Petting is welcomed but treats even more so and he'll sit politely on command to wait for his reward then look up with those pleading puppy eyes to beg for more. Rocky's still working on his other commands but he's a naturally smart cookie and when he realized the full bag of treats was hiding in my back pocket that's right where this cheeky boy planted his nose! He does pull enthusiastically on leash but meets fellow dogs with happy good manners and has been very social during playgroup sessions in the yard too. Rocky Road truly lives life to the full and with perfect scores on his behavior assessment he'd make a wonderful companion for almost any active family. Kiss the cold weather blues goodbye by welcoming a ray of pure puppy sunshine into your life today” Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 E 110th Street, Manhattan.

Bubble Gum (56684) An ACC volunteer writes: “Bubble Gum is a large dark-gray and white male with a winning personality. This burly, hunky guy will hunker right down for love and hang out with you for ages. He's the ultimate date for an evening of Netflix and chill! Bubble Gum is the size of a small dog, but he's more mellow and much quieter. He's the type of bunny that volunteers call "bomb-proof." Because he's such a mellow fellow, Bubble Gum would make a good first-timer bunny and would probably also be a good partner for another rabbit." Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 E 110th Street, Manhattan.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Aramis (52257) An ACC staff member writes: "Nothing is amiss with Aramis! This big fluffy guy is a total sweetheart! He loves being petted so much that he rubs against your hand and starts to roll. His purring is like a motor so you know he loves the attention. Aramis is a total softie inside and out. Aramis is the most lovable cat I have ever met. This big beautiful cat is a big bundle of love. Aramis adores attention and being pet. He such a sweet boy. It is impossible to walk past his kennel and not pet him. He liked the cat toys that I gave him but he definitely LOVES being petted. Aramis is the type of cat that I can see hanging out with his family all day. There is no such thing as too much love when it comes to Aramis, he just eats up the attention. This big ball of love is located at The Staten Island Care Center, so why not stop by and meet this amazing cat today."  Available for adoption at Staten Island ACC: 3139 Veterans road west, Staten Island.
