NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Misu, Lue Lue and Thor:

Misu (59712) Misu’s been waiting patiently at Manhattan ACC for over 5 months! This girl is a nose rubber. She goes back and forth rubbing against the bars and then comes to the door to get a little rub under the chin and a chance to look out of the door to see which other cats are close by. Maybe she was also looking for you, hoping that you would take her home.  Available for Adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 E 110th St.

Lue Lue (75638) Lue Lue is such a sweetie! She makes friends with everyone she sees, and she is very gentle. Lue Lue is happy laying out in the sun and being a lap dog. Lue Lue is a 10 year old senior pup who is just looking for a new person to spend her best years with. Could it be you? Come meet her at the Staten Island location today! Available for adoption at Staten Island ACC: 3139 Veterans Road West.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Thor (73818) A volunteer writes: “Thor is a large New Zealand White. This guy is the most docile, gentle, mellow rabbit in the room right now. Unlike his namesake, and doesn't seem to have an aggressive fiber in his body - but he's godlike in his own special way. Thor is rather reserved, and likes to hang out in a quiet corner of his space while you pet him. He's very handsome too, with nice chubby cheeks and a slightly sad face with soulful eyes. Because Thor is so easygoing, he would probably make a good partner for another rabbit.”  Available for Adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 E 110th St.

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located. Please note, animals featured here may already be placed by the time you arrive, but there are hundreds of great cats, dogs, and rabbits looking for loving homes every day! You can view available animals online, and at the Care Centers, ACC Adoption Counselors will help you find the best match.

You can also meet your new best friend at ACC’s Mobile Adoption Center, which travels throughout the city. (Note: dates and locations are subject to change. Information will be updated as quickly as possible.  View an Interactive adoption event at http://nycacc.org/adoptionevents.)
