NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

Plus, join ACC and Council Member Paul Vallone on Saturday, May 18th from 12noon to 4pm as they debut the brand new Queens Mobile Adoption Center: Bell Blvd Between 41st & 42nd Avenues, Bayside, NY 11361

This week, we're featuring Missy, Everett and Lisa:

Missy (58881) An ACC Volunteer Writes: "Crisp, pert, beautiful Missy is an silky brown pup with a great handshake! This friendly girl looks deep into your eyes while she licks a treat from your hand. Friendly and playful, excitable and affectionate with a pretty high energy level, Missy comes when you call her and is forever checking in with her favorite humans. Also - she's house-trained! Finally, Missy loves affection, and leans in for a pat to get as close to you as she can! Because she's a little excitable, Missy's perfect forever home would be with loving, stable adult humans who can help her keep calm.” Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn.

Everett (58223) An ACC Volunteer writes: “This boy loves to play with toys. He happily bats them around the cage. He is an adorable chatty energetic boy. He wanted to catch my fingers when I go near his cage. He enjoys being petted and is affectionate but he is not a lap cat. A great personality who needs to be kept busy." Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 E 110th Street, Manhattan.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Lisa (62189) An ACC volunteer writes: "The Mona Lisa became so famous because of that smile. In that case, come see the smile of our Lisa, it is a thousand times more beautiful, especially if she has just polished off more cilantro than you would think fits into such a petite bunny girl. Lisa can be a bit shy when she first meets you, but warms up pretty quickly once she understands you are a friend and have greens. She likes zooming in the play pen for exercise and lounging in a tunnel. But most of all she likes greens! Lisa would do best with an experienced bunny family who has space to let her roam, loves greens as much as she does, and has the love and the time to let her grow into the loving bunny that is a bit hidden behind some initial shyness." Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn.
