New York (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Meet Miley Cyrus, Tamora & Spongebob:

Spongebob (28122) An ACC volunteer writes: "Shy, curious Spongebob was found by NYPD officers. Sensing that this gray and white little man needed some TLC, they brought him to the Care Center. Since arriving, Spongebob has been a gentleman, interacting with staff and volunteers and licking his food dishes clean. When I met him the other day, he was calm and engaged but still hesitant. I could tell he was interested in me but not quite up for a petting session, so I let him do his own thing, which basically meant chilling and checking me out. While sitting beside him, I told him that I had a strong feeling his forever family would find him here--a diamond in the rough with saucer-like eyes and an adorable gumdrop nose. If you're looking for a furry buddy who is comfortable with people but still a bit independent, look past Spongebob's rough-around-the-edges appearance and meet this sweet prince today"! Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.

Tamora (22573) Meet Tamora, the super-sweet beginner-bunny at ACC! While she LOVES to play, her go-to is kicking back and getting some well-deserved relaxation. Stop by and adopt a new best buddy/Netflix partner today! Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Miley Cyrus (28038) An ACC volunteer writes: "I LOVE Miley Cyrus! She is a big, beautiful girl inside and out and so easy to connect with. She lounges in adorable yoga poses on her bed, and even if she's belly up or laying like a frog, she shakes her whole back end as soon as she catches a glimpse of a person -- what a welcome! Aside from some bursts of excitement, she's been very easy to walk on leash, she seems housebroken, and she's always checking in with a smile that could stretch across the five boroughs. She loves treats, already knows "sit", "down" and "shake", and her previous family tells us she's friendly and playful with people of all ages. She is incredibly loving and frequently props her paws up on me to solicit affection, diligently and sincerely kisses my hands when I pet her, and makes eye contact that belongs in a Valentine's Day card. She is SO sweet and will make you feel like you're the best thing in the world...come meet her at Brooklyn ACC and make her the best thing in yours!" Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Boulevard, Brooklyn NY 11208.
