NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Kent, Oreo and Hunter:

Kent (72202) An ACC Volunteer writes: “Kent is our new Batman! Look at his ears! He is ready to fly! And that smile! It is contagious! I love Kent and the moment I saw his intake picture, I knew I would fall in love with him! A little rascal, happy to go out, be in good company and play ball. Kent is a great walker, likely house trained, civil with small critters and other pooches neared on the way. He sits beautifully on command, comes when called, takes treats politely from the hand and most of all, besides his irresistible beauty , is a wonderful snuggler. We all agree. Kent is an amazing dog! Come meet Kent, your soon to be forever best friend at the Manhattan Care Center!" Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street.

Oreo (70893) An ACC Staff Member writes: "Hey there, my name is Oreo. I'm an older gentlelady who really likes treats. I didn't get this lovely bod from nothin', ya know? That's probably why the humans named me Oreo. My best feature is probably my eyes. My tail does a cool trick and quivers really fast when people pet me on my lower back too! I just can't help it! If you don't mind sweet, older kitties like me, come by ACC to meet me today!"” Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Hunter (71510) An ACC volunteer writes: “Oh Hunter, you are not a hunter, your love is like desire, burning in my soul, no face, no name, no number, oh love is like our Hunter (free after Modern Talking "No face, no name, no number). Yes, our Hunter is a pure bundle of love, silly, cute, and just so desirable. Hunter is a young Rex, which means his fur is soft like velvet and he is beautifully checked. He is a calm young bunny man, who - despite liking some play - really enjoys chilling and watching what is going on in the bunny room. I am sure he would like watching his humans too, or maybe a good TV show, but what he really wants and has to give is love. Will you give him the love he so much deserves?” Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn.

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located.
