NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Ferrari, Jasper & Sweet Pea:

Ferrari (42401) Meet Ferrari, the sweetheart of Manhattan ACC who was found lost and alone by the NYPD. Though we don't know the beginning of Ferrari's story, we're hoping that you can write the next chapter of his life and fill it with love, treats, and bellyrubs! Stop by Manhattan ACC and meet this two-year-old hot rod today. Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street, New York.

Sweet Pea (41821) An ACC volunteer writes: “Oh, my! Sweet Pea is so handsome! He's white with orange splotches, a pink nose, and absolutely gorgeous almond shaped green eyes! This boy was curious but knows himself well: setting the time and place during our meet-up. When we visited, he'd stay for some pets, then walk away for a bit. But he returned several times for more until he finally settled into his litter box (a safe zone), purring. He seems to like his attention in small spurts. He was never unfriendly just needed "time-outs" of his own determination. Sweet Pea was certainly sociable when he was ready to be. Apparently, sadly, when his previous owner lost housing, so then, did Sweet Pea. He had a caring home with a single adult. As an older eleven-year old, gentleman Sweet Pea is well domesticated and looking for "sure thing" with his new home. Will you be Sweet Pea's "sure thing"?” Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street, New York.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Jasper  (36092) An ACC volunteer writes: Jasper is a 7 year old neutered male who is as gentlemanly as they come. He is very active, but in a reserved way that you would expect of a wise, seasoned bun. Jasper is very curious, and will follow you around to watch as you move around his play area or clean up his cage (not that there is much to clean, as his litter box skills are great). His small size and calm demeanor make him easy to handle, and he loves a good head scratch! Jasper is available at the Brooklyn shelter, and is so excited to find a calm, loving forever home suitable for an almost-senior bun!” Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located. You can view available animals online, and at the Care Centers, ACC Adoption Counselors will help you find the best match.
