NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Debo, Nala and Farfalle:

Debo (72027) A volunteer writes: “Debo has the happiest little face, and a personality to match! He softly wiggles up to me when I call him over; and slowly moves into a sitting position as I scratch his back from head to tail. (I think he wants to make sure I don't miss a spot!). He loves ear rubs, too, and will lean into me with his tail happily flapping back and forth. Debo has been a very polite pup - thanking me for all the love with soft kisses, walking nicely on a leash, and accepting treats like a little gentleman. He seems housebroken, too! He knows the cue for "sit" (though sometimes pretends he doesn't). He's just cute as a button, especially with his little white socks! Debo would make a great BFF, so come and meet him today at the Brooklyn ACC shelter, where he's excitedly awaiting his fur-ever home!” 2336 Linden Boulevard Brooklyn, NY 11208.

Nala (74133) A volunteer writes: “We all know how striking those calico colors can be -- reds and blacks and browns and golds -- but when they are set off against a white backdrop -- you have a work of art. And you have Nala, a true, true beauty, and a beauty with a happy, sweet, friendly temperament on top of it all. Nala is a young girl with a face and figure that could launch a thousand ships, and a personality that will melt your heart.” Manhattan Animal Care Center - 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Farfalle (70897) A volunteer writes: “Farfalle is the plural of the Italian world farfalle and that means butterfly. Our sweet Farfalle has a lot in common with a butterfly - she is extremely beautiful, playful, but a little bit on the shy side as she may not have had the opportunity yet to learn that humans can be really good friends. She is certainly curious and will come when you sit with her in the pen to check out who you are. If she thinks you are a friend, she will enjoy soft pets of her velvety rex fur. So maybe she is still in metamorphosis to become the shiny butterfly bunny that is certainly in her and is just waiting to show with the right human friend. Such a sweet bunny soul in such a beautiful body - I just want her to jump high and hope you will come meet us in the bunnyroom in Brooklyn to fall in love with beautiful Farfalle.” 2336 Linden Boulevard Brooklyn, NY 11208.
