New York (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring  Daisy, Pepper & Jasper:

Daisy  (39449) An ACC volunteer writes: “Daisy is a petite dame, a recent queen we took in without her puppies. She so wants to be seen, sits calmly although anxiously at her door, her eyes not leaving mine. "I am a good girl, please, take me out." Who can resist such a cute and lovely gal? I see on her walking log that many other volunteers already gave in to her plea! Daisy is really adorable. She is only tree year old but life made her look wiser and a little stern. She knows I have treats and that she needs to gain weight. She hangs around me, sits for dry liver bits that she takes hastily and even goes right to the goodies bag. Tail is wagging, caresses are welcome and even much appreciated at our second encounter as we are now friends. Daisy is a good walker who does not go after the birds and is really very civil to all dogs met, even the little ones. She is a pleasure to spend time with. Endearing Daisy is in need of TLC. We so want for her to be a spoiled BFF and a beloved pet. Will you open your home and your heart to sweet Daisy?” Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street.

Pepper  (37705) An ACC volunteer writes: “Pepper is a five year old female tabby. Pepper can be a little shy at first but loves to have her head rubbed. She has a prime cage for people watching and observes all. She seems like a lady who will take over your house in no time with little fuss.” Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Boulevard, Brooklyn.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Jasper  (36092) “A volunteer writes: Jasper is a 7 year old neutered male who is as gentlemanly as they come. He is very active, but in a reserved way that you would expect of a wise, seasoned bun. Jasper is very curious, and will follow you around to watch as you move around his play area or clean up his cage (not that there is much to clean, as his litter box skills are great). His small size and calm demeanor make him easy to handle, and he loves a good head scratch! Jasper is available at the Brooklyn shelter, and is so excited to find a calm, loving forever home suitable for an almost-senior bun!” Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Boulevard, Brooklyn.
