NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Chocolate, Bahama and Mr. Lee:

Chocolate (55908) An ACC volunteer writes: ”I imagine Chocolate resting in his dog house, sleeping with one eye open, surveying his yard and happy to see from time to time his human siblings. I wonder if he ever dreamed of a cushy dog bed by the sofa, a big yummy bone or just a person squeezing him tight against her while watching a good show on the tele? I bet he would learn real fast from a crashed course on "how to spoil your pet"! Chocolate is a grey muzzle who goes with the flow, a good walker who knows all about landmarks and nears properly his peers, an occasional sitter and a calm companion who enjoys soft treats. He is at the care center for no fault of his own and we hope that his stay with us will get him to know another side of pethood. Come and meet Chocolate at the Manhattan Care Center” Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 E 110th Street, Manhattan.

Bahama (55734) An ACC volunteer writes: “I am waiting to meet my new best friend. You'll love spending time with me and giving me head scratches. I have beautiful, long whiskers and pretty symmetrical markings on my forehead and nose. I am curious about my surroundings and interested in meeting new people and other pets. The day you take me home will be the best day of my life and your life.” Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 E 110th Street, Manhattan.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Mr. Lee (56309) An ACC staff member writes: "One, two, three, look at Mr. Lee; three, four, five, look at him jive; Mr. Lee, Mr. Lee, oh, Mr. Lee (Diana Ross, 1987) -- what a humongous bunny soul in an itsy bitsy teeny weeny bunny body. He swings through the bunny room, loves to snuggle up with humans and is such a character boy. Don't let his tininess fool you -- he is very large inside and will certainly pick his human rather than having a human pick him. But if he picks you, you will just swing with him through life, chanting: "One, two three, look at Mr. Lee." Will you come visit us in the bunny room and admire our jiving Mr. Lee? He is waiting and checking everyone out who opens that door."  Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn.

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located.
