New York (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

Plus, the “Summertime Sniffles” Adoption Promotion is still going, with waived adoption fees for all under the weather cats and dogs.  Adoptions include a special "Get Well Care Package" including a $30 petco gift card, toys, treats, and bedding!

This week, we're featuring Cancan, Nilda and Chester:

Cancan  (32632) An ACC volunteer writes: “Cancan is so nice we named her twice! A great behavior assessment and an affectionate heart smushed into one adorably apartment-sized package, when it comes to off-the-charts cuteness levels, this little lady can't be beat. She enjoys snuggling on a bench and showing off her 'sit' for treats, but Cancan's true passion is exploring. You'll usually find her sniffing her way through the park, investigating every inch of the yard or pondering the mysteries of the paddling pool. Toys come a distant second, but she appreciates those, too, and is always happy to share, even when she's chewing on one at the time. Cancan's a good leash walker and extremely easy to handle. If you're very lucky, she might even treat you to some snuffle-kisses as a thank you for spending time with her. So, can we make the forever home dreams of this sweet girl come true? Say it with me now...Yes! We! Cancan!” Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn NY 11208

Nilda (31912) An ACC volunteer writes: “Chatty Nilda she loves to talk to you and comes to say hello immediately. She is a head butter extraordinaire. She can't get enough--she is a super sociable cat who is very calm, and I feel could fit into any household with ease. Of course she loves to be stroked and to get a little chuck under the chin.” Available at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Chester (32165) An ACC volunteer writes: “Chester is a medium-sized brown and white Dutch boy with a super sweet personality. This guy adores affection to the point of neediness - he's 100% focused on you when you're petting him, and doesn't want you to leave his side. Chester is fairly large for a Dutch bunny. His brown fur is a mix of shades, one a darker chestnut color (perhaps the reason for his name). His well-socialized nature would make him a good choice for a first-time bunny home, and he'd probably also make a good partner for another rabbit.” Available at Manhattan ACC: 326 East 110th Street (between 1st and 2nd Aves.) New York, NY 10029.

If you’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and "A#", or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located.
