NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring Blazer, Molly and Honey Bun:

Blazer (59280) An ACC volunteer writes: "Blazer may be a middle-aged boy, but he's got the energy and spirit of a happy-go-lucky puppy! He's super-friendly and affectionate and just LOVES attention. Call him over and in the blink of an eye he's wiggling into your arms with his tail going like a mini helicopter. He sometimes gets so excited that he jumps up to give kisses. And when he looks up at me with that slight tilt of his head...oh boy, I just want to pinch his little cheeks! Blazer is a high-energy boy and would be great for an active lifestyle. He LOVES treats, but just needs to learn to take them in a more gentlemanly manner; but he should be easy to teach....he already knows the commands sit, come, down, and stay; is housebroken; and is very treat and attention-motivated. Blazer grew up with a child and was respectful, affectionate, and gentle with the youngster. This happy little ball of energy is excitedly awaiting his fur-ever home at the Brooklyn ACC shelter, so come on down and meet him!”Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn.

Molly (57149) An ACC Staff Member writes: "When I first came in I was a little bit nervous but now I'm confident and doing great! Like the Unsinkable Molly Brown I'm caring, loyal and loving. I also enjoy petting and treats (and maybe Molly Brown did too!). People are always saying how cute I am, but I'm much too modest to admit it (well, ok I think I am a little bit cute!) but you won't catch me saying it, unless you can translate "Meow Language"! My only slightly unusual trait (but only slightly!) is that I don't purrticularly enjoy being picked up. If you can work with me on this, I promise to be a very loyal friend for life!” Available for adoption at Manhattan ACC: 326 E 110th Street, Manhattan.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s  three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Honey Bun (59490) An ACC Volunteer writes: “We have a magician at the Animal Care Center in Brooklyn! Meet Honey Bun, who has some magic to show you: 1. Most adorable flops; 2. Most impressive banana treat eating (remember, bananas are a treat for rabbits, not meals - tiny pieces are a lot! ); 3. Most impressive eyes that change from an alizarin crimson to a lavender blue; 4. Most tiny teeny-weeny bunny tail; 5. biggest bunny soul in a not-so-big body. Though his body may be small, Honey Bun got his name for a reason - he is just a sweet honey bunny love. Come meet our tiny man and get captured by his big heart!” Available for adoption at Brooklyn ACC: 2336 Linden Blvd, Brooklyn
