NEW YORK (1010WINS) 1010 WINS has teamed up with Animal Care Centers of New York City to let you know about some of the adoptable #Boroughbreds looking for loving homes in the city's shelters, and, where ACC's mobile adoption units are headed with even more great pets.

This week, we're featuring

Beyonce (#69617) The Bey Hive is buzzing about the new dog at Manhattan ACC: Beyonce! Our very own super-star certainly has curves like her namesake, but not the attitude to match. Beyonce is a shy gal who is learning to trust her human friends day by day. When we first met she tip-toed towards me, her tail wagging low and slow. Once she met dogs in Playgroup, Beyonce immediately started to warm up and show us her silly side! She still needs some encouragement when she is on her own with people, but she loves her treats and getting some gentle petting from people she knows. Come and meet Beyonce and the Manhattan Animal Care Centers!

Bella (# 35750) A staff member writes: Que Bella! Bella is a wonderfully shy little girl who longs to get to know you better. First a little head butt. Then a rub against your hand and seems to smile when you pet her. Bella is such a sweet cat. She headbutts staff and purrs all day long. She has been so loving to everyone since the minute she came in. This a loving kitty cat and in my opinion would be a wonderful addition into any family. Come ask about her today.

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the only open-admissions animal shelter in New York City and takes in approximately 30,000 animals every year. ACC’s three Care Centers in Manhattan (326 East 110th Street), Brooklyn (2336 Linden Boulevard), and Staten Island (3139 Veterans Road West) are open for adoptions 12pm-8pm Monday thru Friday, and 10am-6pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Chanel (#76903) A volunteer writes: Chanel is a small- to medium-sized Harlequin. This gorgeous girl is still on the young side, and will probably grow a bit bigger. She's very alert and active, and is quite curious about people -- she has a cute habit of sticking her nose into the air while you're petting her head. Once Chanel has had a taste of your affection, she'll approach again and again to request more. Her stunning coat is a painterly combination of orange and charcoal hues.u’re interested in one of the animals featured here, email ACC’s Adoption team at adopt@nycacc.org with the animal’s name and ID number, or head directly to the Care Center where the animal is located. Please note, animals featured here may already be placed by the time you arrive, but there are hundreds of great cats, dogs, and rabbits looking for loving homes every day! You can view available animals online, and at the Care Centers, ACC Adoption Counselors will help you find the best match.

You can also meet your new best friend at ACC’s Mobile Adoption Center, which travels throughout the city. (Note: dates and locations are subject to change. Information will be updated as quickly as possible.  View an Interactive adoption event at http://nycacc.org/adoptionevents.)
