Alex and Jakob Cockriel were planning on getting married at a courthouse but when a very pregnant Alex's water broke on that very same day, the couple thought they would have to cancel the ceremony.

When nurses at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington found out about their wedding cancellation they were determined to marry the couple before their baby arrived. In only hours, one of the nurses was ordained online and others had found a veil, flowers, and even a string of lights to decorate their hospital room.

The loving couple said their ‘I do’s’ -- and only an hour later Alex gave birth to their son Huxton.

New mom Alex Cockriel tells "When we got to the hospital the nurse asked if Jake and I were married and we said that we planned to be that day but obviously that wasn’t going to happen. Jake then joked that if there was a chaplain, he would marry me right then and there and the nurses pretty much took over from there."

"I didn’t know anything about that process," says Alex, "so I thought there was no way we would be married that day, thinking there had to be some kind of waiting period to be ordained."

"We love every single one of the ladies that made our day that much more special."

In just a short amount of time, the newlyweds got to announce their son’s birth but also their marriage -- which will surely make for fun birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate together every year!
