It was a “beary” bad situation for this bear, after it got stuck in storm drain. Colorado Springs police say the animal is about three or four-years-old and weighs 250 pounds.

Once crews removed the manhole cover, the bear was able to push itself out and run off. Police say the bear probably went down the drain because there were branches from a nearby berry tree inside.

Authorities tranquilized and tagged the bear for tracking purposes, and now it will hopefully stay as out of trouble as it returns to the great outdoors.
