NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a woman quarantining inside her Upper East Side apartment on Tuesday for stabbing her roommate, police said.

Officials said 27-year-old Daria Alabyeva, 27, got into a heated argument with her 30-year-old roommate who accused Alabyeva of drinking too much inside their E. 86th Street apartment.

Their dispute escalated when the roommate grabbed Alabyeva’s glass filled with an alcoholic beverage and threw it into the sink, causing it to shatter.

That's when Alabyeva snatched a kitchen knife and stabbed her roommate in the shoulder, stomach, right thigh and left side of her face, authorities allege.

Police say the roommate ran into her bedroom to call 911 while Alabyeva fled the apartment before cops arrived.

The roommate was rushed to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she was treated and released.

Officials caught up with Alabyeva about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, where she was cuffed for attempted murder and assault.
