NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 57-year-old woman suffered fractures to her face after she was violently attacked by two robbers on an Upper West Side street this week, police said.

The woman was attacked as she walked under construction scaffolding near 68th Street and Amsterdam Avenue on Thursday night.

Video released by the NYPD on Saturday shows the two men coming up from behind her.

Later on Saturday, police released images of two more men wanted in the attack, bringing the total number of suspects to four.

The video shows one of the men sucker-punching the woman in the face as the second man tries to grab her purse.

The woman fought back against the two men and managed to hang onto her purse. The attackers fled empty-handed, according to police.

Bones on the woman’s face were fractured in the attack, police said.

It's the second such incident in the area in less than a week, although there's no indication that the two attacks are related.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
