GREENWICH, Ct. (1010 WINS) – The body of a woman was found in a suitcase along a highway in a wealth Connecticut town.

“This morning at about 8:15, some of our town highway workers discovered a body,” Greenwich Police Capt. Robert Berry said Tuesday.

Berry said the body was found near Glenville Road and Stillman Lane.

Police say the woman was definitely killed and that she was found tied.

"The victim was found bound at the hands and at the feet, and the victim was found in a suitcase," Berry said.

He said she was discovered with her clothing on.

Police have not yet determined how she died or where.

The first step, they say, is figuring out who she is. All they know is that she is under 30.

“Right now one of our biggest concerns is trying to positively identify the victim, so we can do that proper notification to the family,” Berry said.

Police say they’ve gotten tips but they’re asking anyone with info to contact them.
