NEW YORK (1010 WINS) A robber assaulted a woman at a downtown Manhattan church last Friday, making off with 80 dollars.

The perpetrator put a knife to the throat of a woman as she was praying inside Our Lady Of Victory Catholic Church on Williams Street near the stock exchange at 12:30 p.m. last Friday.

He grabbed her purse, which had the money along with her bank and ID cards.

The suspect is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old and had on a purple shirt and black backpack at the time of the incident.
