Woman repeatedly punched after confronting man breaking into car: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police released a video of a man they say punched a woman in the face after she found him rummaging through a vehicle in Brooklyn.

Police that on November 8, at 5:15 a.m., the suspect broke the rear driver’s side window of a 2017 Jeep parked in front of 36 Harman Street in Bushwick.

He removed several items from the rear seat before entering the rear seat to remove more items.

When a 28-year-old woman confronted the suspect, police say he grabbed her and punched her in the face several times before fleeing the scene with an undetermined amount of property.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Police say the suspect was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, dark baseball cap and black and white sneakers.
