SAN DIEGO (1010 WINS) -- A California woman who survived a frightening parasailing accident is talking about her ordeal.

Katie Malone was soaring over Puerta Vallarta early last month when her tow line broke free from the boat. After sailing untethered for about 45 minutes, she crashed to the ground.

She recalled the ordeal on ABC's Good Morning America.

"When I was up there flipping around and stuff, I was able to hold myself and carry my weight, and brace myself," she said.

Malone passed out before crashing. She was released from a San Diego hospital on Wednesday, after treatment for several serious injuries including a fracutred skull, broken ribs, and a collapsed lung.
