Woman Accused Of Shoving Man Onto Tracks At Union Square Subway Stop

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman was arrested Friday, for allegedly pushing a man onto the tracks at the Union Square subway station.

The man was able to climb out before a train pulled into the station, and he wasn't injured in the Friday morning incident.

Marjorie Chambers, 57, was charged with reckless endangerment. She was taken to Bellevue for a psychological evaluation.

The Daily News, reported, the man was walking on the yellow safety strip near the edge of the platform when he was pushed without warning.

A police source told the Daily News, that Chambers claims the man was bothering her before the attack.

Sources also told the Daily News that Chambers had previously been arrested for criminal trespass and assault.
