Williamsburg Manhole Explosion Injures Three National Grid Workers

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A manhole explosion and fire in Williamsburg early Friday morning, sent three employees of National Grid to the hospital.

It happened at South 2nd Street and Union Ave.

"I have a 3-year-old so it was kinda scary. I seen the aftermath it was high like 10, 15 feet in the air," a resident said.

Officials said the victims suffered minor burns.
