NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- WFAN's Mike Francesa has been voted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.

"Can't spell Francesa without FAN," he said of his decades with the Fan.

Francesa started with WFAN in 1987, and started co-hosting 'Mike And The Mad Dog' with Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo in 1989. When Russo left the station in 2008, Francesa started doing a solo show in the afternoon.

Francesa left WFAN in December 2017, but returned in the spring as part of a multi-platform partnership.

Other locally known names being honored include Jim Kerr, Joan Hamburg, Dr. Laura Schessinger, and Kid Kelly.

The induction ceremony will be held November 15, in Manhattan. Tickets are available at RadioHallofFame.com.
