NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Westchester County woman agreed to a plea deal and pleaded guilty Thursday morning to murdering her 2-year-old daughter.

Cynthia Arce will be sentenced to 25 years to life on Oct. 31 for killing her daughter Gabriella in April 2018.

Arce pleaded guilty to felony charges of second-degree murder, for Gabriella's death, and attempted aggravated assault for the stabbing of officers Osvaldo Ramos and Joseph Gaglione -- who she lunged at with knives when the officers arrived at her home.

When the officers arrived at Arce's Mamaroneck home, they found Gabriella unresponsive in her bed.

The officers found Arce in a nearby bedroom. She refused to comply with the officers' demands that she show her hands. She then revealed she was holding two knives. She lunged at the officers, repeatedly slashing them.

A third officer shot her after Tasers did not succeed at subduing her.
