WEATHER: Quick-moving storms with damaging winds likely

BREAKING (2:40 PM): THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVCE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING FOR MANHATTAN, BRONX, SOUTHERN WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NORTHWESTERN NASSAU COUNTY UNTIL 3 P.M.

 

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A quick-moving storm brings a multitude of weather and fluctuating temperatures to the area. 

Locally damaging winds are likely with a chance of thunder and lightning on Tuesday afternoon and evening.

A few of the storms may be severe.  High of 61.

Clouds this evening will give way to mainly clear skies overnight. Low of 35.

Colder air will arrive Tuesday night into Wednesday behind the cold front, ending chances for severe weather in the area.

A drop in temperature likelye to bring RealFeel Temperatures in the 30s during the day.

Temperatures will fluctuate going from slightly below normal to a bit above normal on Wednesday and Thursday.
