NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – It may be the last weekend of summer, but the weather is going to be summer-like all this week and into next weekend.

AccuWeather says Saturday's pleasant weather continues Sunday, when it will be mostly sunny, very warm and a bit humid. The high will again be 84 in the city, while highs will reach the 70s at the shores.

It begins to feel a bit more like the dog days of summer on Monday, which is the official start of autumn—and also the hottest day of the week.

It’s partly sunny, very warm and humid Monday, with a chance of showers and a thunderstorm late in the day, AccuWeather says. The high will be 87.

Temps and humidity drop a bit on a partly sunny Tuesday. The high will be 76.

The sunshine returns Wednesday, when the high will be 75, AccuWeather says.

Temperatures tick up a bit to end the week: it’s 81 and sunny Thursday, 78 and sunny Friday and 80 and sunny Saturday.

Some clouds return next Sunday, when the high will be 77.
