NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police have obtained video footage of the beating of a Lyft driver in Queens last week and the events leading up to it.

The footage shows a man and woman getting into the car and asking to be taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in Astoria.

The, man, apparently in distress, lays down on the back seat, moans, takes off his sweatshirt, and tells the driver to hurry up.

The driver responds that if the passenger is going to be disrespectful, he’ll pull over right now.

The passenger then started beating the driver from the back seat.

Lyft said it knows who the passenger is, and he is now banned for life.

Police are still looking for him.

The driver, meanwhile, says the experience is giving him second thoughts about driving for the ride sharing app.
