NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A teacher is on leave after a version of a popular Christmas song was sung with a racist twist.

Warning: Video contains very offensive content.

A video taken and uploaded to YouTube shows two high school students in Dover, New Hampshire singing "Jingle Bells."

However, the traditional lyrics were replaced with racist ones, such as "KKK, KKK, let's kill all the blacks."

The students were secretly recorded by a fellow student singing in front of their entire class. The school district posted a statement on its Facebook page saying, in part, "We are deeply concerned that an event such as this could occur and understand the emotion and concern this event will create for our students, families and staff. We can assure you that Administration from DHS and District are working with students and the school community to respond immediately and effectively to this racial insensitivity."

The teacher has been placed on paid administrative leave, as the district interviews students.
