NEW YORK (1010 WINS)-- Senator Cory Booker, Mayor Bill de Blasio and former Vice President Joe Biden were interrupted by hecklers during Wednesday night's Democratic debate.

Booker was attempting to get through his opening statement when protesters interrupted him, shouting from the audience.

The moderators and Booker waited for the heckling to cease before continuing to speak.

Several protesters yelled “Fire Pantaleo!” at de Blasio while he was speaking before they were escorted out of the debate.

The protesters were referring to NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo, who was caught on video as he placed Eric Gardner in a choke hold as Gardner repeated the words “I can’t breathe!” several times.

Joe Biden was not exempt to the heckling.

Protesters shouted at Biden about the number of deportations that occurred during the Obama administration as he was in the middle of speaking.

He had to stop and wait for the protesters to finish.
