NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Smoke and flames poured out of the lobby of 330 Madison Ave in Midtown on Friday morning, as several dozen firefighters fought a high-rise blaze.

Kelly Castagno told NBC4 she was ordered to evacuate the building.

"They came on the entercom and said the Christmas decoractions caught on fire in the lobby, and said 'we're checking out the situation, stay away from the windowside,' and then a minute later came back on and said, 'everybody out," she said.

The fire was brought under control.
