NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Red, Chuck, Bomb and the rest of their feathered friends are back in the video game-inspired film "Angry Birds 2," which arrived in theaters this week.

Newcomers to the film's franchise include "Saturday Night Live" cast member Leslie Jones, who plays a villainous purple bird named Zeta. Jones' fellow "SNL" castmate also is in the film.

Co-star Josh Gad said Jones brings such an unwieldily new energy to the film that disrupts in such a great way."

Other newcomers include Sterling K. Brown, Rachel Bloom and Awkwafina.

Others returning to the franchise include Jason Sudekis, Gad, and Danny McBride, who voice Red, Chuck and Bomb, respectively.

Peter Dinklage, who voices Mighty Eagle, is in the film, as is Tiffany Haddish and Nicki Minaj, who voices -- you guessed it -- a pink bird.
