Vigil planned to mark 1-year anniversary of Junior’s murder

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —A vigil is set for Thursday night to mark the one year anniversary of the murder of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz.

The vigil will begin around 8 p.m. at 183rd Street and Bathgate Avenue, outside the Bronx bodega where Guzman-Feliz was dragged out and attacked.

Guzman-Feliz was killed just a block away from his home.

His last words were asking for his mother.

Five gang members were found guilty of his murder and eight more still await trial.

Junior’s murder recieved natoinal attention for its brutality

“To see someone being chased through the streets, and the look of fear on his face,” said NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea of the murder.
