ROBBINSVILLE, N.J. (1010 WINS) — Hundreds of people showed up in Robbinsville at sunset, for a vigil, lighting candles, to exchange hugs and heartbreaking stories about Samantha Josephson, the University of South Carolina senior who was reportedly murdered last week.

Josephson, police said, got into a stranger’s car in Columbia, South Carolina this past Friday, believing it was her Uber.

Her boyfriend, Greg Corbishley, called Samantha the love of his life, and urged rideshare companies to make changes to their apps to prevent this trategy from ever happening again, “Please please if there’s anything you can do extra to make sure that the driver of your Uber is there for you, please take that extra step.”

Josephson was set to go to Drexel for law school in the fall after graduating this spring.

Police say Josephson got into the car of 24-year-old Nathaniel David, who killed herwith a sharp object and dumped her body.

The funeral is to be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday in West Windsor.
