NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 78-year-old woman was punched at random in the latest attack on a senior in the city captured on surveillance video in recent weeks, police said.

The woman was walking down Broadway, near Park Street, in Bushwick on earling this month when a man came up and hit her in the head, police said.

Video shows the man casually walk past the woman and strike her before appearing to say something to her briefly as she holds her head.

The woman suffered substantial pain in the attack, police said, but didn’t need medical attention.

Just weeks ago, a man was arrested for allegedly slamming a 92-year-old woman to the ground in Gramercy—an attack caught by a surveillance camera. The woman struck her head on a hydrant but was hospitalized in stable condition.

And last week, an 80-year-old man was knocked to the ground, dragged and robbed in the Bronx—an attack also captured on video.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
