In the video posted to Instagram, Roberto Perez casually walks beside an ambulance with a kitchen knife sticking out of his head and blood all over his shirt as onlookers watch in shock.

“He got stabbed in the head,” one man says in the video. “This is crazy!”

Authorities told the New York Post that Perez, 36, got into some sort of domestic dispute near East 125th Street and Lexington Avenue in East Harlem around 12 p.m. and was stabbed in the head.

Despite the horrifying injury, Perez was not seriously wounded because the knife didn’t penetrate his skull, authorities said.

Witnesses said Perez didn’t want to get inside an ambulance, but he was eventually taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.

The Post featured an image of him on its cover Wednesday with the headline “New York Slice.”
