NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- When Taylor Swift learned that one of her superfans is a Utah nurse who traveled to New York City to assist coronavirus frontline medical workers, the singer sent the woman -- who was celebrating her 30th birthday -- a care package consisting of a handwritten note and a box of "Lover" merchandise.

Whitney Hilton, a registered nurse at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, received the package when she arrived back home after spending time at Northwell Health Long Island Jewish Medical Center in Queens. In a blog post, McKay-Dee wrote that nurses at the hospital are "burned out."

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I wanted to send you some presents and to let you know I am so grateful for you," Swift wrote in the note. "I can’t thank you enough for risking your life to help people and for spreading the message loudly that people need to hear, about taking this seriously."

Swift, also 30, continued, "Also, I saw the photo of you from my show! Thank you for coming!! I would love to give you a hug next time and thank you in person. With love and admiration, Taylor.

Hilton took to Twitter Sunday to share photos of the note and the gifts, writing, "I need to PUBLICLY THANK TAYLOR SWIFT @taylorswift & @taylornation13 @treepaine for sending me a box full of Merch & a PERSONALIZED LETTER from Taylor herself for my 30th birthday/for going to NYC to help as a nurse. This was quite literally the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE."
