NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Three times as many people reported seeing UFOs in New York City last year than in 2018, according to new analysis.

At least 35 sightings in the five boroughs were reported to the National UFO Reporting Center in 2019. That’s compared to only 12 sightings reported in 2018.

“We are being visited routinely by UFOs,” the center’s director, Peter Davenport, said.

Among sightings were “silver, cigar-shaped” and “bright green orb” UFOs, according to an analysis of the data by the New York Post. There was also a report of “six floating craft flashing red and white lights.”

The most unidentified craft were spotted flying over Manhattan and Queens, where 12 sightings were reported, respectively. In Brooklyn, there were eight sightings, while the Bronx and Staten Island had one sighting each.

Sightings are also up 52 percent in New York State—164 in 2019 versus 108 in 2018.
