NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --  The Transportation Security Administration is preparing to check passengers' temperatures at about a dozen airports -- as soon as next week, The Wall Street Journal reported late Friday afternoon, citing officials familiar with the matter.

According to the report, details are still being worked out and plans could change.

It was also unclear which airports are part of the plan.

A Trump administration official told the WSJ that the initiative's initial rollout would cost less than $20 million.

Air travel is down more than 90 percent since last year.
