Trump ramps up feud with New York Times, Times fights back

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) President Trump ramped up his feud with the New York Times on Wednesday morning, tweeting that “The New York Times reporting is false. They are a true ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!.”

His tweet was in response to a report from the paper alleging that

Trump asked former acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker to interfere in the New York-based investigation of his former personal attorney Michael Cohen and the hush money he paid to two women on behalf of the president.ABC News legal analyst Dan Abrams said, “There’s no question this is an effort, if you believe it, to obstruct justice, the question is, is that a legal obstruction of justice.”

The Times responded to Trump Wednesday afternoon via Twitter and said it stands by itsinvestigation.

House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler called the Times report “concerning.”

He wants Whitaker to return to the House and clarify his past testimony.
