NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- President Donald Trump was involved in "nearly every step" of arranging hush-money payments with women -- including porn star Stormy Daniels -- who claimed they had sexual affairs with him, before he became president, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.

While his involvement may not be that surprising, the WSJ reported that his involvement means he may have violated federal campaign-finance laws.

Trump has denied knowing about a $130,000 payment made to Stormy Daniels, who alleges she had sex with Trump in 2006.

Daniel's lawyer, Michael Avenatti, tweeted the following in response to the WSJ's story: "This further confirms what we have been saying and alleging for months," he wrote. "There can be no question now as to the validity of our allegations. I look forward to the apologies directed at my honest and heroic client @StormyDaniels."

Avenatti subsequently tweeted, "In light of the sworn testimony and evidence relating to the payment to my client and Trump’s involvement (confirming our allegations), we are calling for the immediate indictment of the president. No one is above the law in the United States."

1010 WINS has reached out to Trump's lawyer, Jay Sekulow, for comment about the story. The White House has not commented yet.
